Flemming’s story on education
Categories: blog

This is Flemming Funch. I got to know Flemming, because he accepted the invitation for the very first BlogWalk meeting that Ton, Lilia and Sebastian organised in my (and Ton’s and Lilia’s) home town.

It’s a pleasure to announce the first BlogWalk meeting in what hopefully becomes a travelling series through Europe, bringing researchers and practitioners together for in-depth conversations. First stop: March 19th [2004] in Enschede, Netherlands. The topic of discussion will be weblogs in knowledge management contexts. (link)

Flemming came to Enschede and Ton and I offered him a place to stay and that’s how we met. The perfect guest. Since then, Flemming and I saw eachother at various conferences.

He’s originally Danish, but lived in the US for many years. 6 Years ago he moved to France, to expose his kids to a different language and culture. He still lives in Toulouse together with his wife and three kids.

Watch his view on how the various education systems he’s seen compare.
