We bought Daughter a new bike. Her starter bike we borrowed from her best friend was perfect for learning, but now it’s time for serious biking. 18” instead of 12” wheels will help her cycle a lot faster.
I did extensive research on what to buy her. A second hand bike makes a lot of sense, but all the regular kids bikes are heavy. Twelve kilograms is quite normal for this size. Daughter weighs just under seventeen herself. Lightweight bikes are a rare item on second hand sites, so we decided to buy a new one. This model, made in Germany, weighs about six and a half kilograms and as you can see quite an upgrade size wise. Looking forward to practice longer bike rides. For instance to and from school.
