When visiting the Lego store in Copenhagen last Summer, I discovered the botanical collection for the first time. I was captured by the flowers on display. Sadly the store was out of stock, so I promised myself to order them (or buy them in Utrecht) after returning home. Of course I never did.

A few weeks ago the Man surprised me. He secretly ordered the flowers and gifted them to me. So now Lego flowers are distributed between the dining table, Daughter’s room and my desk.

But Lego also sells plants. Wonderful plants. The first thing that came to mind was to buy one for my “all my plants always die” mother as a Sinterklaas gift. For covid reasons my parents couldn’t join the Sinterklaas celebration, but last weekend I visited them together with Daughter and the Man. A perfect moment to gift my mother the Lego set and help her building it. Three generations women built the everlasting plant that keeps its flowers without the need for a single drop of water. I would say a perfect end of year gift.
